To promote scientific innovation, knowledge exchange, and academic partnerships to advance Yemen’s scientific community and contribute to global scientific progress
The objectives of The Yemeni Scientists Research Group are focused on providing comprehensive support to Yemeni researchers and fostering their professional growth. Our primary goal is to empower Yemeni scientists and contribute to the development of a thriving scientific community. These objectives collectively drive our mission to support Yemeni researchers, promote research excellence, and contribute to the growth of scientific knowledge in Yemen. Through our initiatives and collaborations, we aim to empower Yemeni scientists to reach their full potential and contribute to the scientific advancement of Yemen and the international scientific community.
Here are the key objectives that guide our efforts:
1. Research Collaboration: We actively promote research collaboration by establishing partnerships with international institutions, universities, and researchers who share our vision. Through joint projects, data sharing, and expertise exchange, we aim to enhance the research capabilities of Yemeni scientists and contribute to scientific breakthroughs.
2. Capacity Building: We recognize the importance of empowering Yemeni researchers with the necessary skills and knowledge. We organize training programs, workshops, and seminars to enhance research methodologies, scientific writing, and grant proposal development. By equipping researchers with these essential tools, we aim to elevate the quality and impact of scientific research in Yemen.
3. Outreach: We strive to raise awareness about the importance of scientific advancement for national progress, economic growth, and sustainable development. Through public outreach initiatives, we inspire and encourage young Yemenis to pursue careers in science and technology, nurturing the next generation of scientists and innovators.
4. Networking and Mentorship: We recognize the importance of networking and mentorship in shaping the careers of researchers. We provide platforms and events that encourage networking among Yemeni scientists, both within the country and internationally. Additionally, we aim to facilitate mentorship programs where experienced researchers can guide and support early-career Yemeni scientists, fostering a culture of collaboration, guidance, and knowledge sharing.
5. Access to Resources: We endeavor to enhance access to scientific resources for Yemeni researchers. This includes advising to facilitating access to scientific literature, research databases, funding opportunities, and state-of-the-art equipment and technologies. By improving access to these resources, we aim to reduce barriers that Yemeni researchers may face and create an environment where they can conduct high-quality research.
6. Advocacy and Recognition: We advocate for the recognition and support of Yemeni researchers at national and international levels. We actively promote the value of scientific research and its role in addressing Yemen’s challenges and fostering sustainable development. Through advocacy efforts, we aim to raise awareness among policymakers, stakeholders, and the general public about the importance of investing in Yemeni researchers and creating an enabling environment for scientific advancement.
7. Public Engagement: We believe in the power of science communication and public engagement. We organize outreach programs, public lectures, and science awareness campaigns to inspire the younger generation, promote scientific literacy, and encourage a passion for scientific inquiry. By engaging with the wider community, we aim to bridge the gap between science and society, creating a positive impact on Yemeni society as a whole.
The Yemeni Scientists Research Group takes great pride in organizing a series of conferences that serve as platforms for scientific exchange, collaboration, and knowledge dissemination. Here’s an overview of some of the conferences organized by the group:
The first edition of the conference was organised in Universiti Teknologi Malaysia on September 2014. This conference aimed to bring together researchers, academicians, and industry professionals from around the world to exchange knowledge and insights on the latest advancements in the field of information and communication technology (ICT). The proceedings of IRICT 2014 was published in the conference website and the extended papers were published in several indexed journals
The inaugural edition of IRICT provided a multidisciplinary forum for researchers, engineers, and technologists to present and discuss their latest research findings in various fields of information and communication technology. The conference aimed to foster collaboration and inspire innovative solutions to technology challenges. The IRICT 2020 Proceedings was published in Springer Book Series (Lecture Notes on Data Engineering and Communications Technologies).
Building upon the success of the previous year, IRICT 2018 continued to bring together researchers and experts from diverse scientific domains. The conference provided a platform to share advancements, explore emerging trends, and promote interdisciplinary research collaborations. . The IRICT 2029 Proceedings was published in Springer Book Series (Advances on Intelligent Systems and Computing).
The fourth edition of IRICT emphasized the importance of research and innovation in addressing pressing global issues. Researchers presented their work in areas in computer science such as AI, Data Science, IoT, Smart Computing and others. The conference facilitated networking and knowledge exchange among participants. The IRICT 2019 Proceedings was published in Springer Book Series (Advances on Intelligent Systems and Computing).
Despite the challenging circumstances, IRICT 2020 adapted to a virtual format, ensuring that researchers could still connect and present their work. The conference focused on cutting-edge research and emerging technologies, providing a platform for dialogue and collaboration amidst the pandemic. The IRICT 2020 Proceedings was published in Springer Book Series (Lecture Notes on Data Engineering and Communications Technologies).
The most recent edition of IRICT maintained its commitment to advancing research and innovation. Researchers showcased their work in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, sustainable IT, and cybersecurity.
